Did anyone order from the places linked above?
I've checked 12 sites, including these and no one has any.

The Knifeworks link shows in stock for me. Not sure why it's not working on your end.
It let me add to cart and go to checkout.

Incidentally, is this the first true satin-ground Maxamet we've seen from Spyderco? All the other ones were polished stonewash.

Have to admit, I still see my Sage 2 whenever I see this Maxamet version lol.

Re: Sage 1 Cool Grey Maxamet
Just ordered mine from Northwestknives. I’m glad it was offered in the Sage line as it’s my favorite and I just wasn’t going to buy a knife I don’t like just to try the maxamet out. Really looking forward to trying it out and seeing for myself if it lives up to the hype.

Big thanks to Buddafucco. One down, two to go.
Re: Sage 1 Cool Grey Maxamet
PM2, PM3, Manix, Native 5 have a light stonewash, maybe helping a bit considering it's not a stainless steel
This does not seem to be the case for the Sage
Is this aesthetic, is it a cost reduction measure, is it to keep consistence with the Sage line, just asking...

Re: Sage 1 Cool Grey Maxamet
Mine came in today.
Screws are tight, blade perfectly centered, lockup solid, no play, and I think the best sharpened edge of any new knife so far. No sharp edges or points on scales or inside of liners. The opening hole has a slight bite, but not sharp. Grind and bevels look perfect. The g10 texture is very shallow, fine, and grippy. I suspect it will wear down fast with my use, but that's ok.
I prefer the polish stonewash like golden models, but this satin is barely detectable when running a fingernail across it. I think it will age well.
It all looks perfect to me... going to be a hard decision whether to modify it or not.
