What model is that? Very cool.
Urban slipjoint wharncliffe (discontinued).

I really like those! Wish they’d become a regular item. I wonder how a UKPK wharnie would do?
Maybe with all the interest in the wharncliffe thread Spyderco will bring it back. A UKPK wharnie would be an instant buy for me!

Carrying a pair of old school salts today. Recently re-edged them both.

That would be cool. However I fear it would be adulterated with FFG and a comp lock.

The Rookie has a hollow grind, right? Seems like there's still plenty of love for hollow grinds around here. ;) And the back lock has many devotees. I think it'd be great just as it was, but with an updated steel and a nice color or handle material.

I think there's more old timers on this board. Seasoned knife experts at Spyderco and across the industry agree the back lock is the best lock. Proving that blades fail before the lock. We also know that hollow ground is still the best grind.

Fidgeters parakeet "FFG" and "needs a comp lock". Meh...

Took the family up to Gatlinburg. Had a spare second, so I snapped a shot on the creek.
