The way it was supposed to be! That looks great.

The great Chap.
In the background an old Austrian farmhouse (bulit around 1670 as far as I know)
I really love that style of house - very similar to some I saw in Switzerland that I also loved.

Right, it´s pretty similar to the suisse style. Though they tend to use more stone as a material there (but then, that can be the case in Austria too, depending what they had available: More wood or more stone).

/ When you finally visit Europe again with your family, your trip seems to be pretty planned already by places and stuff other forum members would like to show you... old folding knives in Spain, mountains and old houses in Austria, landscape in Norway... ;)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Your pics always put the music from “The Sound of Music” in my head!! Always great.

Thanks! :)

In Salzburg, where I live, we are actually "surrounded" by Sound of Music-locations... but funnily, the movie was never popular here at all , and people - if at all - are normally only aware of it due to the "Sound of Music" tours US and Asian tourists take all the time... ;)

This pic was actually taken in an avenue where a sound of music location is located either (Schloss Frohnburg = Frohnburg castle: Built around 1670, and taken as home of the Trapp family in "Sound of music") - it´s a ten minute walk from where I live and I actually did take a knife pic with that castle in the backdrop either already - see here: https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.ph ... 0#p1424843)

That sounds like an epic trip...I can't wait for it to happen! I'd only add in a side trip to the Scottish Highlands or Whales. ;) Then maybe the next year, a trip to Australia!

Every reptile lover needs to visit Australia at least once in their life!

And you can’t forget about Ireland!

I started out the day with these two, getting the cabin ready for winter: clearing garden beds, filling the wood racks, etc.

Then I stuck the Manix in my pocket for a late afternoon walk in the woods, and found these surprises along the way!
