Webex with Sal and Eric?

#1

Post by Doc Dan »

I wonder if Sal and Eric would be willing to do a Webex or Zoom meeting with all of us on this forum? I would love to attend such a meet.

What do you all think? Would you want to do this?

I have no idea if they would agree to this or not, but I think it is a cool idea.

I have no idea how, but yes!!! That would be a blast. I've always wanted to put a face to a name. I've even considered starting a members photo thread for that reason. Though I know a lot of forums are what they are, and people like to conceal who they are for whatever reason.

I do think it would be cool if they were to be up for it.

I voted yes depending on the day and time. As long as they're willing I'd be in

I would be interested, regardless, but I'm wondering what the purpose of the meeting would be? Would it just be a Q+A for Sal and Eric? I cant imagine it would be anything like the Amsterdam meet, where we're getting previews of prototypes or future projects. Screenshots and leaks would be unavoidable.

I'm thinking stuff like Knifecenter's more recent video discussing the reveal would be nice. if not a live format, perhaps something where we could submit questions ahead of time?

I think this is a cool idea. I'd definitely be interested in attending if the timing was convenient (when I'm not at work haha)!

It would be fun to interact with them..also, these vid meeting sites have the ability for people to break out in chat rooms and then go back to the main meeting.

Not sure about video conference, that would be next to impossible with 50+ people.
But Twitch/YouTube livestream with chat, that is doable.

Musical artists have been doing live streams during lock down where you can do an hour of lessons or an hour of hanging out chatting. It's a pay thing to help them make money while they can not your but I've also had to do many online virtual speakers discuss a topic. I think having larrin and sal discuss material and how they feel it's best used would be a cool discussion to listen to. Need some guidelines as far as directing the conversation imo

I would be in! It would be cool if it was just a casual meetup sort of thing. Just an hour to BS about knives and put some faces/voices to the names.

I voted yes as I would be interested to put a question or two to sal, though I don’t know what Webex or Zoom are.

If they did it at 9:00 in the morning that would be about 11 at night for Bloke, wouldn't it?

Easy. We do this on iPhones all the time.

I think you can have around 100 locations at a time on Webex and Zoom. I know Google Meet you can and it is free.
