Very october-ish today... :)

That's a great picture! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words, glad you like it! :)

This place is a small, hidden and lonely situated mountain lake I like to visit in autumn when the leafs turn red and yellow.
Nice background for Rex-Tober pics either of course. ;)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

Really would like some orange micarta or terotuff replacements for my Rex para3. Those look awesome!

Those scales right there on the Para 3 could have an interesting hue if some mineral oil was added to them. You can see a darker color by the lanyard hole, mineral oil would probably give the entire scale a color similar to that, maybe a little darker. I love the way mine have turned out on my Delica with 2 rounds of mineral oil added. Takes away a bit from the pastel kind of coloring (not that these are pastel) but most of the terotuff scales have that kind of color vibe.

I don't know why but my phone changed the color a little bit. It made them look a little more gold/yellow than what they really are. And I did put mineral oil on them when I first got them. Not sure if you're seeing residual oil of it all dried and the color's changing with use. I did the same to the blue set I have on my Native 5 and they just lightened up again after awhile

I just pulled the Para 3 back out of my pocket and noticed there's dark staining on the leading edge of the scale on the clip side. I think I had it in my pocket with some newer blue jeans and it picked up some dye. So I might try to clean them up with some more mineral oil. Or I might just try soap and water. Haven't decided yet.

The title of this thread failed to suck me in, so I ignored it for a while.
...well, rather it was me who failed to realize what the thread could be about. Curiosity got the better of me, at last, and now I get it :) I haven't really carried my Lil' Rexy as much as it deserves, so the challenge is on. One month Rex 45 starting today.
Rextober photos will follow, stock photo will have to do for now

I posted this in another thread (Spyderco in use, review/feedback thread), but this one needs more Rex 45.

I started using this knife for all my edc needs on October 1st. This is day 7, and here is all the cardboard Rex chomped on this week, in a 13 gallon bin. Still not dull.

Really dulled my Rex45 Para3 yesterday scrapping epoxy off of some G-10 and micarta from some scales I'm making. Lots of lateral scraps against a pretty fine edge but a few swipes on the brown rods at 20° set it straight.

Rex45 really is some great stuff! Just yesterday I was cutting through some boxes and came off the corner of one a little too strong and hit the blade right into the concrete wall the box was against. I hit it pretty hard and was nervous to look at the edge...just had a small, glinting spot. Just like you said Larry, I got home and took it to the brown stones for about 10 minutes, good as new! With the force it hit the wall, I think a lot of other steels would have fared much worse.

That's super encouraging, I've had concrete put micro-sized chips in PMA11 and S110V. I was expecting more damage from the scraping of the hardened glue and G10, I was torqueing pretty hard.

Working the chips out of A11 and S110V was a chore. :o
