It was going to be my Para 3 this month, and I might still use it a bunch, but the Shaman called to me this morning. Probably because I've been carrying a Manix 2 so much lately.

Anyway, it's time for this neglected beauty to get some use!

Is it wierd that I'm excited for fall in large part because I can't wait to carry my Shamans again?? ;) They're not the greatest for carrying in lightweight clothes...bring on the jeans weather!
Not at all. I haven't carried mine in months, so carrying it yesterday certainly reminded me of it's heft, but wow does that knife ever make my hand happy.

I had the Rosewood model, but the scales just felt cheap and wouldn't grow on me. I wasn't the biggest fan of the shade of color on my particular scales either. Once I knew this one was coming out, I knew I had to have it!

Took most of the purple off the scale faces, I actually really like the smooth g10 feel and the visible dark purple on the edges.

I do like the looks of your knife! :)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

Hope to see a Rex45 run in one of the models I like to carry. Normally not one for colors aside from black or green, but I love the burnt orange on these knives.

Vivi, let me suggest to you the Endura 4 in HAP 40 once more:

- Basically a cladded version of REX 45, run just a tad softer from what I know (and actually my REX 45 Manix indeed seems to hold an edge longer than even my HAP 40 knives, but that´s just a subjective feeling)
- You obviously warmed up to the E4 shape after carrying the Pac Salt 2
- The SUS410 cladding should provide the protection from corrosion (especially also in the pivot area) that you are looking for
- And: The handle color is burnt orange too...

Should be a lot to like for you?! (For me anyway - HAP40 Endura still my favorite folder ever so far)

My baby girl just arrived in Mo a couple of weeks ago for boot camp :( She probably won't have time to get cold, real soon.

Yep, I think she finds out her platoon today, they've been in this "quarantine" and haven't begun anything meaningful yet. I think "Red phase" or "red face" is coming soon...poor thing :D

I wish they would rerun the first round of Rex45 sprints in DLC, which would not break their sprint rules. I REALLY want a black and orange Halloween Millie! :D`

That's the perk of having enough knives, you can customize them yourself without having to buy anything haha. Though 52100 isn't a favorite steel of mine, my Rex45 Manix scales swapped to that blade and hardware is one of my favorite looking knives I have now. Orange and Black is a great combination!
