I’m so jealous. Every time you post this... still haven’t been able to find one since you got it!

I'm surprised how rarely they seem to pop up. I really wish they would bring them back or someone would do an exclusive. It's gotta be one of Spyderco's most underrated designs.

All I have to say is, if you find another, either PM me or just buy it and I’ll pay you.bbturbodad wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 8:12 pmI'm surprised how rarely they seem to pop up. It's what my wife thought she was surprising me with when she got me the Matriarch this past Christmas haha! I pointed out your knife and how I liked it, she heard Matriarch and remembered the name. I'll give her credit for that! :) Matriarch is a bit extreme, but I think I'll carry it tomorrow now. That Lil version just looks like the sweet spot.bbturbodad wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 8:12 pmI'm surprised how rarely they seem to pop up. There's one we never see! Funny how popular the BHQ Exclusives seem to be, but we don't see them around here very often. Their exclusives have always been my favorite along with DLT's and St Nick's.

Hi all, new to the forum.
I'm carrying my Atlantic Salt (as per usual) and a nifty c35 Q I found at a local knife shop recently.

That's the only BHQ natural G10 exclusive I kind of regret not getting. Only because I really like the Native and M4. I remember I was on the fence about getting it but I didn't like the faux GITD scales. I was going to dye them but ended up buying something else instead.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
The Watu I won in the calendar competition was delivered yesterday. Thank you Spyderco for running the competition!! So the Watu's clip got "softened" and I fidgeted with it in front of the TV last night. Today it is in my pocket with a favourite (very, very seldom do I carry two knives).
Blade length and stock thickness are virtually identical, same steel as this particular Bugout (anecdotally I'd suggest Spyderco's is run harder but I'm not sure if that holds true for the Taiwan models as well), flat vs almost flat grind and G10 handles (CF ply vs natural). Very similar on paper. Blade shapes and ergos very different. Axis and compression locks are (were) trademark locks for the two companies. I doubt I'll cut much today but tomorrow is a holiday and I've got a few boxes to cut up. Everything I cut with the one I'll cut with the other. Not very scientific but will give me an idea of how the two knives stack up in my, urban, use.
The Watu is really going to need to blow my socks off - the Bugout (an S30V model with CF scales) is my most carried knife so it has very strong competition.

Thanks, the Salt series is perfect for my work as well. The little Wharnie SE can put in some work.
