Kapara back in stock!!

#1

Post by Bamalt1 »

The Kapara is finally back in stock on SFO. I've been wanting this knife for nearly a year and finally got to order one. I can't wait to get it. Ordered a replacement Fine stone for my Sharpmaker to replace a broken one and to get free shipping.

Strange. I don’t see it back in stock with lc200n steel. Must be a mistake...

I would love to have a Kapara with lc200n but it's not coming anytime soon. Sal mentioned that if it sells well enough they may so a sprint and since it's out of stock at most retailers, fingers crossed. I'm hoping that it was actually in stock and not a website glitch since it's already back out of stock.

A dealer needs to do a Kapara Exclusive with LC200N, Marbled CF and a the Toxic Green Back Spacer!

We got a Smock(s) Exclusive from Taichung, now let’s see the Kapara!

Unbelievable! I have been checking the SFO every week for nearly two years for a Kapara. It is always OUT OF STOCK. And now I find out it was in stock for only a couple of hours. This is enough to make a person go crazy!

I recall an email from River’s Edge Cutlery on Friday mentioning that the Kapara was back in stock.

Kapara is in stock at several other dealers: BladeHQ, DLT Trading, KnifeCenter, GP Knives, Knives Ship Free, Knife Joy, etc.

Those sites are great but I saved $60 over those sites by going through SFO with their OpFocus discount.

Yes! Yes! Yes! You have no idea how many times I checked SFO for the Kapara in the past two years. I originally handled one at Blade Show in 2018. But they were not offering the OpFocus program at the show. In hindsight I should have picked one up right then and there had I known the SFO would see such a long drought. Anyway it was finally back in stock today. Perfect timing too, as my 50th birthday is a few weeks away. Happy Birthday to me! It was worth the wait.

Everyone seems focused on LC200N for a Kapara sprint, but I'd like to try it in S90V. Probably end up getting one in whatever if a sprint happens, though - mine quickly became one of my favorite knives.

The Kapara is hardly a "beat the **** out of it" kind of knife. Is anyone ever really going to notice a difference if its blade is S90V, S30V, LC200 etc?

S90V is a different request compared to most lol. Everybody else wants LC200N for the corrosion resistance in a food prep designed folder.

Thank you very much Sal ! :)

Just grabbed one Kapara from Lamnia, but got a little confused when I got at ”IS” dated one from one year back......but the knives from latest batch are hopefully 100% the same

New to the forum. I just got a Kapara and LOVE IT!!! Action, ergos, back spacer, clip, materials including the blade steel. I looked at the designer's site and his "Redback". He uses RWL34 steel, which is very similar to S30V. Outside of not having a sharpening choil, I think the Kapara was manufactured to remain as true to the original design as possible. Kudos to Spyderco, Sal and Eric, if that's the case. Also, CPM S30V may not be exotic, but it's stainless and a solid performer.
