Feeling froggy today carrying these two.

Very nice Military!

Gayle Bradley 2 for me today
Thanks Spencer. I just realized that the frogs throw off the perspective of my images. (2 different frogs) yet they make the Military look super-sized or the Sliverax like a mini

Nice swap!! Been hoping someone would swap the blade and hardware with those scales. Had a feeling it would look good, sure does!
Thanks Rick! I think so too :D

I would love to give a manix this treatment, even without the diamond arc. But I don’t think there has ever been even a forest green manix. Could be a great opportunity for Knifeworks...
Funny you say that, because after seeing your pic I went and matched up my M4 para 3 with the KnifeWorks Para 3 since they are pretty similar in color. It's tempting!
Just realized Rick beat me to the compliment! Great minds... ;) ;) But there has been a dark green/dlc manix: it was a Stag Arms exclusive with s30v. Looked sweet! I almost bought one once, but didn't love the logo on the blade.

Ooooohhh, a Manix in this color scheme would break my "no new knife" stretch!

I'm going to choose against the swap I mentioned earlier. For some reason the Jade scales with a satin blade and hardware just doesn't do it for me the way the DLC with Jade does.

Wow, DLC really really looks good on those scales.

I wish Spyderco would make use of that pattern more...maybe just smoothen it out a bit to prevent ripped pockets. We need more variances in scale design aside from the colors. :)

Coffee for fuel today.

If you're referring to the bi-directional texturing take a look at the catalog. They use that on a lot of different models

Para 3 LW is more subdued. It doesn't shred pockets like the other LW models but still has has a fair amount of grip. The wire clip on that model helps too.

I've started adjusting the clips on my Native 5 LWs and Delicas so there's not as much tension. Seems to help a lot

Problem is the molds to make the scales are a huge investment.

Apologies, I really meant the diamond arc pattern :D
I was referring to the scale swap with the black DLC 4V, should have quoted the post.

You're singing to the choir. If you catch me without at least 2 plus my multitool, I must have lost one. :D

Thanks for the compliment Julia! And HUGE thanks for the info about the Stag Arms model. I had no idea that existed. Will definitely be trying to hunt one down. My new grail knife!

I agree. I think we will see more of it. Love to see it on the Military. It does smooth out a bit with use. I actually think it feels and performs very similar to the bi-directional pattern. Even when it comes to the “pocket wear”.

JuPaul mentioned the Stag Arms Manix. Check it out. Very cool dlc/Forrest green.

Also I agree with you about jade/satin. Meh. Doesn’t do much for me either. I think I’ve dyed every jade scale I ever had lol.
