when you're moving, your spyderedge gets a steady diet of cardboard. looks like he still has a little in his teeth.

That’s my favorite package right there... but I got to spend some time with the SE endela.

How do you feel the Endelas more "mellow" serrations in an a ffg blade compare to the more aggressive in sabre hollow of the Pac Salt so far?
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I love the blade. I like FFG and I already love serrations so of course it’s a winning combination for me. Honestly I prefer the serrations on my byrd hawkbill to both, because they are more rounded. But sharpening over time helps fix that. I like the amount of plain edge left at the tip, I like how there’s more grip area on the back for the palm over the delica and endura and I don’t have any complaints so far.

Thanks!

Yes, that's actually another good thing concerning serrations: They seem to perform even better the more often they get sharpened. At least with my Endela in in my typical knife tasks that's certainly true.

My lightweight carry for tonight's run. Training for a 5k but the extra weight is worth it.

I remember the discussion, Mr. Simon Wartstein Yates. Did you cut any ropes today? Or did you use your Manix to discourage newbies from climbing on your routes? I had to stop looking at the pictures of your gym, before my palms started to sweat.

I know you're kidding, but being compared to Yates still is always a bit near the knuckle in the climbing community... ;)
I personally (and all my climbing buddies) do think it is irresponsible to go climbing WITHOUT bringing a knife, and doing so might very well help SAViNG the life of your climbing partner...

/ Yep, it's a very nice gym. Just bouldering, no rope climbing, which makes it very quiet und "cozy"... which does not mean that one could not absolutely destroy themselves when training there... :)

I know! :)
And NO, let's NOT indeed... all good, I just did not want people who did not follow the discussions back then to even just remotely think I could actually be like Yates... ;)

Thanks, man! Yes, he actually is and I overreacted, my apologies! :)
(Still, he mainly is remembered for cutting loose his partner and saving his own life by that - though it probably even was a wise decision to do so from a purely rational point of view: Otherwise they would have fallen both, and chances that at least one of them would stay relatively unhurt so he could search for and/or help the other, would have been drastically reduced).

/ On topic: Favorite folder ever in its favorite variant again today :)

Might not have as big of mountains as you, but I can relate to this picture. The one I go to around here even has a bike rack inside :)

This Dragonfly has a permanent spot in the pocket 7 days a week. Occasionally I will pair it with something larger depending on that days projects, Its just a kick butt little knife.
I don’t trust people who don’t like dogs.
