Two new Spydies -- 4V & my first H1

:)
That's a really cool combination of steels to play with.

Tasman Salt was my first H1 knife too. I can speak from experience when I say don't let it go dull. They're not very fun to reprofile :D

Yeah... I love tool steels & love having a serrated blade at all times so this was a great pairing of two of my newest acquisitions. Thanks for confirming what I've been reading/hearing about SE H1 blades, I'll really try to make sure it doesn't get too dull, I've got a huge box to cut to ribbons tomorrow to really get my first real use of it under my belt... I'm looking forward to it. :D

Cheers,,

Nice! That’s my absolute favorite model from Spyderco. It’s the only one I have an actual backup for. That thing can take some serious abuse. And stays sharp for-ev-er! And I love the relocated detent. No need to have a swingy blade on a field knife.

Thanks man! It’s one of my favorites too. I agree with you totally! My wife surprised me with this one a few years ago. It’s funny, but the first time I saw a picture of this knife, I didn’t think I’d like it. After I studied it and held it for a while, however, I began to see the genius of the design. 👍

Just picked this up from the post office :)

I have to say, I am quite a fan of the shade of blue used on this model. Can't wait for the Manix LW now!
