I do have one concern. It is not related to the knife itself. It's to do with purchasing it.

Some of you have already said that depending on the price, they'd buy multiples. Even if Sal would give us 1200 pcs, even if there'd be more: a Damasteel blade spydie at a rather affordable price will sell out in no time. I am worried that not all of us would get the chance to buy their one knife before others put in orders for multiples. Call me crazy, but I'd find that unfair. What do you guys think?

I'm fully aware that there's a lot of time to go by before this beauty will hit shelves. Still, it would be great to find an agreement or regulation or whatever to fix this point. I really want us all to enjoy this product, including me.

I agree whole-heartedly.

As you all know, this project is my baby, but I am in the UK. I could end up not getting one at all if they go that fast.

My opinion is that we wait till a definite green light, then I was hoping we could all do something like a pre-order, maybe with a limit of 2, and add up for all those who pay in full. Then ring fence how ever many that would be, and following that, maybe Sal could then put through the 1200-1500 that will fly off the shelves anyway.

But maybe that is not possible or practical?

I have a few questions for Sal along these lines, but I know he is very busy at the moment.

I have sent Sal an email some days ago with an idea, to see if it is practical. No reply yet. I won't publish my idea unless I receive a positive reply.

Hi Michael,

I got your email.. Interesting concept. Still too faer qway to plan in, but I'm thinking about it.

Hi David,

We're probably talking a year anyway. Sourcing time, R&D time, Golden is pretty busy right now. I'll begin the process and see how much planning we can do.

Sounds a lot like an idea I brought up in the past and was pretty much shot down!

Hi Dazen,

I've watched quite a few good ideas find too small of a market, at the time, to move on it. My Mule team idea was hot down more than once before there was finally enough interest to try it. Tooling up for a new model or making a special model like this one is always a gamble and one be careful.

Some have come and gone. Some have come, gone, and later made. When we introduced the Clipit Worker folder at the SHOT show in 1980, no one noticed it.

Random suggestion, but I think you should consider making two prototypes and sending one to SuperFool.

Ha!

I approve this suggestion.

I would do a poll, but I think if I put this board through another poll, you guys are going to kick off.

When there was talk about a 2020 Forum knife, I asked for a Damasteel UKPK...it feels like that wish has been granted. If this one isn't a Forum Knife I don't know what is. :)
