Heads up! Apparently a few of these dropped at Knifeworks today, so the first small batches are arriving at dealers.

Doh... Being fortunate enough to live close to the SFO, I've been lucky in the past with simply refreshing the item page until it shows "in stock" then calling the SFO to confirm, driving up and picking up said new knife. Today, this appears to have gone from "coming soon" to "out of stock" in the short time between page refreshing.

This also means that I don't have much experience ordering from other companies. Having said that, any suggestions of online sellers that would be worth trying for this knife? (I'm guessing I just missed the boat, since this is a sprint run, but keeping my fingers crossed)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks! Was happy to pay the 10 bucks for shipping just to be able to avoid the hassle of tracking these all next week.

I received my S45vn para 3 and am extremely happy with it! I had previously gotten the Paramilitary 2 in the same steel and really liked the edge retention and the Para 3 follows course so far. I remember previously seeing posts from people who had gotten two of the Paramilitary 2's that the diamond texture was different, with some being substantially more aggressive than others. Having two examples to compare, I can confirm the same. The Paramilitary 2 I have is less aggressive than the Para 3. I'd never had any concern about pocket wear from the texture on the Paramilitary 2, but am concerned with that on the Para 3. I don't mind it at all from a hand-feel perspective, but wanted to let others know.

It’s hard to show as the differences aren’t easy to see, it’s more of a feel thing. The Paramilitary 2 is on the first picture and the Para 3 in the second. If you looking on the bottom edge silhouetted against the white paper it’s probably best seen there.

Personally, I love this texture. It’s a nice change of pace for my carry options.

Here we go. Was just looking at BladeHQ 10 min ago. Coming soon. Walk away from desk. Come back. 5 min ago was available. Now Gone.

Annoying.

I was thinking about trying to pick up one of these but I've reconsidered. I have too many knives that haven't seen any pocket time already and I have more than enough Para 3s. Maybe I'll get to try S45VN in another model

Carried my S45VN Para 3 for the first time today. Wow, those Diamond Arc scales are AGGRESSIVE. Noticeable wear on my pocket (chinos) and rough on the hands. I'm not knocking it. This will make a great all-weather knife, especially with the extremely corrosion resistant steel. If you work in gloves, this is perfect.

I've got another Para 3 in M390 with smooth dress micarta scales that will remain the EDC king, but this new version will get a floating lanyard and then be brought into the rotation for boat work. That's where it'll shine.

I'd not recommend ever putting this knife into a dress pants pocket. It belongs in heavy jeans or waders. This bad boy is rugged.
