People ask why I carry a knife when I go for walks or bike rides in the city...this morning I took my sons for a bike ride in a big local park with several lakes where people fish. When we were riding the trail around one lake, my son managed to ride through a big pile of fishing line that some inconsiderate person left on the ground. Took about 10 feet for it to get completely tangled around both his wheels, his pedals, and his chain. Luckily, I had my se hawkbill dragonfly, which made quick work of the line. You just never know when you'll need a knife!

Anyone leaving discarded fishing line around to ensnare children or wildlife is pretty low, and I’ll leave it there lest I stray into decidedly un-shiny language and sentiment. I’ve rescued many birds from fishing line. Dad worked for National Audubon for 30 years, so I grew up around the thoughtless impacts to wildlife.

That said, **** yes, HAVE A KNIFE! What do people think they’re for, Christmas tree ornaments?

I couldn't agree more. I was pissed. Not only are there lots of kids and cyclists around, but plenty of ducks, geese, and other wildlife that could easily get snared. Not to mention that it really irks me when people trash our beautiful parks.

I've been at the hospital for the last couple of days. My wife had our twin girls. In the OR, I had my LB HB around my neck and a Leatherman Surge in pocket :) . (No, I didn't get to use my knives to cut the cords :( lol.) Both tools have been used a few times, most recently the LB helped cut my hospital cafeteria dinner:

I'm really close to getting a small H1 fixed blade. Trying to decide between the Enuff and and the ARK. The ARK has a bit too much belly for my taste, but I love the overall size. Makes me think of Vivi's thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=76218

I really love the LB HB, but I'm craving a small SE H1 fixed blade to wear around my neck.

We had a smaller Christmas tree this year, and I saved the trunk to turn into a cudgel. While I had mostly trimmed it down with my Mora, a few months have passed since Christmas and I'm finally read to finish the project. Yesterday I used my Native 5 to clean it up a bit, and was quite impressed with the little knife; it's a great wood carver. I would appreciate a thicker spine for this use case, but then it wouldn't slice so well.

Today I broke down three weeks' worth of delivery boxes with the new Mule Team 27, and it performed quite well. I really appreciate the thin, 3mm blade stock. I hope this knife will do well as my new camp/bushcraft knife. Will report back when I've had a chance to use it more in the field.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

There is supposed to be Swick in LC200N later this year. Was it in Reveal 5?

Funny you mentioned it, I actually checked Blade HQ for them last night. If I remember correctly, the PE is in stock, but not the SE.
