The MKT Marauder

#1

Post by MacLaren »

Just got one of the last full size ( .260" ) Medford Marauder.
Medford did their last and very small run of Marauder's in CPM-S90V. I thought what the ****, if I want one, better get one now.
Mine is Violet Anodized on both sides, but the blade is a Satin Finish, as well as the Six Shooter Pivots, which is kinda rare from what I see. Its a $100 option to have that done. I should say I got this thru DLT. Last I looked, they had 2 left.
That being said, a Medford is not for everyone. But, we all like what we like, right? I will not edc this one. I could of course, but I bought it just to have and use on occasion. This is purely a luxury type, instant gratification buy :D
As for the knife itself, it's really amazing. I love it.
But, I will say that if you wanna try a Medford, then go for the 187 DP in 3V - a DLT Exclusive. Its the sweet spot imo.
Anyways, thanx as always for letting me share and I hope everyone enjoys the pics.

Think we’re all enjoying living this Medford knife thing through you MacLaren, and you have a way of capturing the perfect angles to show off all of these beautiful blade grinds!

I’m starting to place you in the same company as Guy from Diners, Drive-ins, as Dives as people I really hate, in a awesome, jealous way of course! ;)

Tell yall, these Medfords break I just beautifully.
This 187 DP, in 3V, Ive never had a knife with an action as smooth.....I mean, its just like....wow.
And, I dont think mine is fully broken in yet. Its very close though. Gotta be to be this good, I reckon.

This Marauder has a silkier action that the 187.
The 187 is a little tighter. But, still the best actions I've ever had on a knife. Lol, this Marauder is off the chain. Excited to see how good the TFF - Fat Daddy is...

Well........as ole Dandy Don Meredith used to say on MNF, " Turn Out The Lights, The Party's Over! "
This ole gal got a bad case of Lock Stick.
I could've bought some Ox Guard and went that way, but for the money, I sent her back to DLT Trading. And, I must say, those people are EXCEPTIONAL. There were no questions asked, the only thing they said, was would I like my money back, or trade for another. I thought, what the heck, I traded for a TFF-H, with Gator Belly sculpting. It's a beautiful piece very much akin to The Fat Daddy. Both are TFF models. However, the TFF-H, is being discontinued. At any rate, the TFF-H should be here sometime next week. Until then, I'm gonna start thinking what I wanna do when this sob gets lock stick too! Hahaha! " I'll prolly just fix it and keep it, me thinks" :D
Also, the 187 DP in 3V that I love, has unfortunately developed some lock stick as well. But, im gonna put some Ox-Gaurd on her. At any rate, just wanted to update this thread. Thanx gang :)
