Where to find older models?
Where to find older models?
As above, I am a U.K. based Spydernut, and just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to find particular older models?
Currently searching for a Mini Persian 1 or Kris. Knives on EBay is not a thing over here, and obviously the market is smaller. Just wondered if there are specialist retailers in the states to find older used models?
Thanks
Kit

Re: Where to find older models?
I believe knivesplus was just linked in the crazy good deals thread, and actually had those models.
The problem with older, or desireable models is usually price.
Simply put, if you have the money you can get a hold of it. But finding older or "collector" models at a reasonable price can be hard.
Its also bad that the answer seems to be check everywhere. Forums, Amazon, Ebay, Retailers, Brick and mortar, etc...
Your actual best source of older models would be lucky enough to know some collector.
Wish I could give a better answer.

Re: Where to find older models?
Knives plus has the exact one, at a price i would pay. But of course, do not ship internationally or to freight forwarding companies

Call them when they are open and ask if someone who works there would privately ship it to you, if you paid for them to do it. Couldnt hurt to ask.Lucky21 wrote: Knives plus has the exact one, at a price i would pay. But of course, do not ship internationally or to freight forwarding companies

Found a few older knives on websites that sell camping stuff but stock Spyderco.
Found a few old models on a website in Australia the other day that cater to law enforcement mostly.

Would you mind sharing?

I can personally attest to the first two on your list. I had good luck dealing with both of them. Never yet dealt with the last two but I've heard good about them over the years.Spydergirl88 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 12:38 pmCountryknives

But with CountryKnives you better have a wallet full of C-Notes if you want to buy stuff from them. But they can usually get you what you want>> that is depending on whether a certain model is even available. Some of the more obscure models just can't be found anymore.
