I think this knife is pretty darn adorable, and I wonder if this will become a series of spyderco and Sakurai collaborations. I'd definitely be curious to see other animal-inspired designs.
I would like this.

Octopus, anyone?
Ha ha! Sounds like an ergonomic nightmare. :D

I’ve been looking at the pictures of this knife for the past few days and every time I like it a little more. When I first saw it in the reveal I thought I’d pass. But now I’m pretty sure I need one of these :)

BladeHQ just uploaded a video going over a number of new Spyderco knives with Eric Glesser. The Pochi made an early appearance!

I'm genuinely not sure how I overlooked the fact that this is a flipper! :D Just getting more and more excited for this one.

Mushroom, Thanks for finding and sharing that!

Answers all my questions and with the speed of release of the other models from the last reveal I hope it won't be long.

After watching BHQ’s pochi review with Eric, wow didn’t know that knife’s tail was made for gripping and also can be used as a flipper. Excited.

Yeah I'm grabbing 2 or 3 of these...one to carry, one for my daughter, and one to collect in my safe....

I'll definitely be getting one. Such a neat knife, I'm glad Spyderco makes stuff like this.

This would be a really decent model for people who live where they have draconian blade length restrictions. I doubt if anyone would get busted for this model unless you tried to board a commercial airline with it.

I like the blade geometry. It is sort of reminiscent of the Dodo and Poliwog models to some degree.

Personally I would be tempted to buy another Dodo before I would buy one of these. But I would sure recommend it for people living in restricted areas with bad knife laws.

It's really weird to me. I don't actually get it which is why I will probably end up with one.

It's the silliest knife I've ever seen, not really sure what I would even do with it. I will probably snag one up right away though!

I've never been so excited for a new knife. Probably because this one won't overlap any of my others. I have big ones, I have small ones, I have medium sized ones, I have ones for water. I DON'T have any shaped like a dog!

Everytime I get a notification from the Spyderco app, I get excited. I'm trying, yet failing, to wait patiently.

I was somewhat surprised to see that it’s made in the Taichung factory rather than in the Seki City factory given the fact that the name Pochi (ポチ) is Japanese (derived from the English word, “pooch”) and the designer’s name “Kazuyuki” (和幸) appears in kanji on the reverse side of the blade. I guess titanium frame locks are more Taichung’s game, though. It will probably be popular in Japan due to the “kawaii” (“cute”) appearance and short blade length (given their knife laws).

Exactly! It’s that tail that makes it irresistible! Almost as cute as my real puppy!
