We have lost quite a few classic designer/knifemakers these past few years that I am feeling a bit nostalgic. How about a homage sprint run series?
Goddard - I prefer mini, but okay with baby
Centofante - thinking vesuvius!!
Jess Horn or Tim Wegner to round out the trio

As most of you know I'm still a very big fan of many of Spyderco's older models. Still own and use some of them too. I'm also still on record as saying that their Golden era was a time when virtually everything we see today was spawned from many models from what I affectionately call The GOLDEN Era Of SPYDERS ( 1998-2004).

It was in that time slot that most of my very favorite old school Spyders emerged. Now all of us have been intrigue with many of the Sprint Runs we have seem come to pass in the past 10 years or so. There are so many old school models I would love to see return with newer/better handle materials and newer/better blade steels.

So for all of you who are thinking on the same lines as I am let's all list 3 past Spyderco models you would like to see resurrected in an upcoming Sprint Run. Also you might add which handle material you would prefer and which blade steel you think would bring that model into the year 2020.

My three are
(1) C-60 Ayoob in K390 or M390 with a Carbon Fiber or G-10 handle

(2) Fixed blade TEMPERANCE 1 in ( SE & PE) in the Salt Series with LC200N

(3) JD Smith in SE & PE with 4V with either a Carbon Fiber or original Micarta handle. ( G-10 would work too)
Another Delica run of Super Blue or v toku?

It would have to be in LC200N. The old one was the silver lining, the new one is the ominous storm!

I'd buy an Air in LC200N. And an Ayoob Sprint.

I'd also like to see a Maxamet UKPK. But I'd prefer regular production. :)

All in 4V, Rex45, K390 or CruWear -- SE & PE
Hey "JMM I love your picks >> however wouldn't you like to see the SUPERhAWK offered in full SE the next time around? Actually I would like to see all 3 of your picks offered in PE & SE both. I hope Spyderco notices that the C-60 Massad Ayoob model truly has a strong following even to this day

I'm wondering what blade steel would be ideal on the LUM TANTO. The two Lum Tanto folders I have are ATS-55 & VG-10. I'm thinking that 3V or XHP might be ideal?

YES! That's what I was saying, all three of those models, in any one (or more) of the four tool steels listed, made in both PE & SE :D

Dodo in cruwear and green patterned g10 like the 2013 forum knife

Dyad with SE h1 and PE lc200n in yellow frn just makes too much sense

Persian large or small with bolsters, polished white or burgundy micarta and vanax

If I had to pick a folder, I wouldn't mind a rookie 5 "updated" like the Police 5 with an FFG K390 blade and a 50/50 choil. I'm happy with Foliage green.

But really, I feel like I've missed out on some really awesome Spyderco fixed blades.

I would love a sprint run of the Hossom knives, any and all of them. OD Green Canvas Micarta. 3v? 4v? Cruwear? Any of the higher-end Tool Steels and I'm happy.

I would also be super into a Temperance 2 in any of the tool steels

I'm very much looking forward to the Crucarta Proficient sprint.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

How about a Micro Dyad in solid LC200N, with a mammoth tooth inlay?

The market might be a bit limited though...

Let's see, there's me... and maybe a few other crazies.
