You can order blades for the Manix 2 directly from Spyderco's web page. This is a once-in-a-lifetime deal that will last only until the Manix 2 is no longer made. If you order now and are one of the first ten callers, or one of the other callers who calls in later than that, you not only get the blade for the Manix 2, but you get extra scales, ball lock, spring, clip, screws, liners, and spacers.

Click here to order yours now:
https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/detail ... -Blade/592

Excuse me sir, this needs to be in the "crazy good deals" thread

but... what a bargain!

Dear Kristi,

My original post turned out to be aggressive and harsh. I apologize for that.
Well, who can argue with that? I was just going to get on here and say that one thing that could be done would be to sell the knife you have and put the money towards the "upgrade" you are eager for. But it sounds like you have fond feelings for it. So keep it! And buy it a friend.

Personally, I rather like 154CM myself -- though I am not so fond of the saber grind.

Welcome to the forum, David. As Sharp Guy said above, I hope you will stick around and read the many great and informative posts here, and come to see what an awesome company Spyderco really is. I think many of us are a bit flabbergasted by your letter, at least in part because very few of us would pass up such a great excuse to buy a new knife! ;) ;)

Ummmm.... wow. That first part gave me an ice cream headache, but this, this made me LOL. So balance was restored to the universe.

I wouldn't mind a Saber ground manix, just to add one to the collection! I imagine it doesn't slice as well as the ffg, but it sure looks cool!

The manix is one of the best knives spyderco makes. Get many!

If you want an upgrade or the newer version then just buy the newer version. Simple as that.

If you want to be on the receiving end of spyderco’s generosity then you have two choices. You can take the high road or the low road. I have been on the receiving end of Sal’s generosity more than once. He can be quite generous. I assure you I didn’t receive those gifts by stomping my feet and getting mad about one of their company policies.

We have a good group here. Hang around for a while. Some of our members are very helpful, very knowledgeable and very generous.

I haven’t received any free care packages from Spyderco, but IMO those who have, deserved them. I don’t expect any entitlement, either, and I’m happy for whoever has gotten something like that, like that farmer did. It’s a really cool thing that not many manufacturers do.

“ha! that’s cool of spyderco.”
