I’m in Gulf Shores, AL and see where St. Nick Knives has a store only 9 miles away! Well of course I have to stop by and they have last year’s discontinued Pac Salt’s for $100! I couldn’t pass it up! I’ve heard so much about SE H1, have wanted to try a Seki knife and a back lock, that I couldn’t pass it up! It’s really incredible and look forward to putting it through it’s paces!

Keep loving everyone as Christ does, we all need it more than ever!

Great choice, congrats!! The SE Pac Salt really is an incredible cutting tool. For "nornal EDC" I prefer SE in ffg, but when it comes to harder work you can't beat H1 sabre/ hollow grind SE imho (and it still does very well in "light duty" tasks)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Warstein,

Do you prefer the E3 or the E4 handle? I handled both in the store today, and thought they were both great! I went the the original PAC Salt just because of the deal!

I feel yah... but honestly it doesn’t matter to me. I enjoy using different steels but I love vg10 just the way it is

I clearly prefer the E4 handle over the E3 (=Pac Salt 1) handle when it comes to ergos and comfort in hand!

Don´t get me wrong, the E3 handle is VERY good too, but the E4 handle is just perfect for me.

I personally (L to XL hands), never could really replicate what some people are saying about the "finger bumps on the E4 handle hit the fingers in the wrong places". This does not bother me at all.

And if I hold the Endura 4 like I do most of the times (either choked up on the Ricasso with the index finger, or, when four fingers on the actual handle, thumb not on the ramp, but rather on the side of the blade (in the area of the opening hole) - it is possible to fit two fingers in the first finger groove anyway (not so when the thumb is on the ramp).

Now to do the E3 handle right: Also very comfortable, even in extended use, and I like that it is a bit shorter (but still more than long enough for offering various grip options)
