Thanks man! No, I haven't but it's high on my list! Next in my sights for chopping is the Kapara...

Re: Rock Lobster 'mini-skinny' chop
That is awesome! Really nice work. Would love to see this as a regular production piece.

Re: Rock Lobster 'mini-skinny' chop
Pretty work. Upon seeing the first chop pictures, I was skeptical. But I actually like the look of the finished knife better than the original.
Re: Rock Lobster 'mini-skinny' chop
I don't usually want to shrink knives, but I taped up my user Chef (handle and blade) to shorten past the clip grooves and it looked good. I might not carry it loose in pocket w/o clip or slip. Detent isn't that strong.
The refinishing to match would be tough...or would you totally refinish the scales? Ti is no joke to work.
For me it's more a thought experiment. For the right person could be kick@ss.
Re: Rock Lobster 'mini-skinny' chop
When I've chopped Ti handles, I always do the same to refinish - diy stonewash (tupperware w/ rocks in the ole clothes drier), then use oxi-clean to darken it up.
As far as the clip, I'll be redrilling and tapping for a standard 3-hole spydie clip - don't have the tools or skills to remount the wire clip yet!

What's the plan for the Kapara?
I like smaller knives and my Kapara doesn't see much pocket time. I'm down for a Chopara.

Nice work on the Rock Chopster.
Re: Rock Lobster 'mini-skinny' chop
Congratulations on the amazing work.
Re: Rock Lobster 'mini-skinny' chop
Hey TurboDad, I'm planning on chopping the Kapara down to about 7" OAL. Redrill for a traditional 3 hole clip, and put a Lynch clip on it, and take the scale contouring a bit further.

Fantastic, that is exactly what I want for the UK but as a Slipjoint. Bit like a Pingo but OHO. Look great.
