Best Torx Screwdriver Recommendation?
Anyone know of a great torx screwdriver recommendation to buy? Particularly a screwdriver that won't strip the screw. Thanks in advance!

I am still voting for PB Swiss. Their handheld driver is definitely the best I've ever had for working on knives. The palm shape of it makes it much easier to put consisted pressure on while turning slowly.

Not my pic but I received one of these for Christmas in the mid 70's. It's served me well ever since. My older brother broke his a long time ago. I'm sure he's severely jealous of me now haha

I've really liked having the Bondhus 12632 GorillaGrip in my bag but I've been wanting to get the Bondhus 34745, it's more of a T handle type that I think would be nice but I've had zero issues with stripping or distortion of the bit as I did with the last kit I had

I am a big tool junkie and have everything from Snap On to Wiha to Wera to Witte to Felo to Vessel to Bonhus to Harbor Freight! But for drivers and bits I have found PB Swiss to be the best there is. Expensive but totally worth it. Definitely go for the bits and bit holder. Much cheaper to replace a bit than a screwdriver! And the Crosshandle Driver is perfect for knives with loctite. It allows you to turn the driver while applying constant downward pressure so you will likely never strip a screw if you do it right.

SCREWBALL!
I'm sure he is jealous. I've mourned the loss of my Screwball since sometime in the 80's when mine was lost.
Nowadays I rock this ratcheting screwdriver:

Wiha. I like the ones with "Magicspring" features, helps to hold small screws in place when doing installations :

This 7 piece set has all the torx drivers you need for Spyderco knives, and is my favorite. Very portable too.

You can find these on eBay every once in awhile if you want to relive the glory days! Vessel also makes a large variety of ball drivers and their stuff is all Japanese made and very high quality.

Yep Screwball haha! I think I was about 10 yrs old when I got it. So I've had it 45 years. It's one of the first tools my Dad bought me. I still have the extra socket & bit set he gave us with it. I use it all the time. I have other drivers but I love the large ratcheting ball and long shank on the Screwball. So I always reach for thatFeistyKat wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 2:04 am

I’ve rounded about 6 different t6 bits from various crappy bit sets. Until I got this. This has been solid for a few years and is still working great despite using it much more regularly as I’ve gotten more into tinkering.

Not my picture.
I just purchased this set for about $30 CAD. Has all the torx bits you'd need, nice and compact. All magnetized and very well made. Careful there are alot of 'fakes' of this set out there. Only downside is the driver could use a bit more purchase or grip.
Another upside is that all put together it's very lightweight and transportable.
Also - these I picked up at Wal-Mart on a lucky stroll through the electronic section one day. They have served me well for about a year for $20 CAD, I can't complain.

Re: Best Torx Screwdriver Recommendation?
Just a heads up that that is NOT a WIHA product. It's of Chinese origin and you can not find it from WIHA in any official site of theirs or catalog.GiftedMisfit wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 11:45 am

Re: Best Torx Screwdriver Recommendation?
Didnt the Shabazz review it ?? Pretty sure it was a co-branding effort and is actually a Wiha product? Either way, woah now, careful it's from China..

Re: Best Torx Screwdriver Recommendation?
I've had good luck with Husky torx sets. They're far from the best but I've only ever stripped one screw and it's so caked with thread locker that it's permanently part of the pivot pin now.

I've been using this. It's convenient and I'm rarely in a situation where I don't have the right bit.

Do you have a name or part number for that Wiha set ?
I have 3x the Wiha screwdrivers -- short stubbies that hold the 6x different size T bits inside the handle.
I would like to get the set you have shown :-)
Thanks mate.
