For almost a year, it has been the Native 5 more and more. Definitely go-to.

I think it was last summer when the KC Cruwear came out. I have been cycling through my Natives a lot more ever since.

If "go to" means what I´d grab intuitively when I just want to have a "do it all" knife on me for the day: It definitely has to have a decent amount of cutting edge, cause, given that the ergos are very good anyway on almost any Spyderco, this is a factor that clearly enhances the versatility of a folder (not too short edge that is) if one does not know which tasks the day might bring.

So I´d have to say Endura or Stretch 1 (longer edge than the "2"). I love my Manix and Endela, but they are both a bit short in edge.
What speaks for the Endela: It comes in ffg SE... (not so the regular Endura, and the SE Stretch 1 is no longer to be found).
SE is a also a good thing imho in a "go to, ready for anthing" knife...

So my perfect go to would probably be an Endura in ffg SE (and not wharnie shape) - hope we´ll see that one eventually...
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

My Spydiechef is my go to. I probably have an unhealthy obsession with this knife.

Para 3 in Camo is dominating my pocket lately when out and about, but I have a few Delica’s scattered around the house that share the go to duties depending where I am in the house.
Used one to open my Ben-shot glasses this afternoon.....

Still trying to wrap my mind/usage around the Shaman & Native; for the previous list I tend to go with a certain steel :spyder:

Having a favorite Spydie is far less a concern to me than understanding why I so utterly like this, that, or the other one.

The one I’m carrying—my 204P Military Model for the past few days—is the one I’m trying to understand.

And, let’s not forget that SE Pacific Salt I’ve been unleashing in the garden.

It’s the journey, not the destination, grasshopper.

I just love my Spyderco fixed blades, but cannot legally carry them off property in Illinois. The laws here are nonsense.

I cannot wait to receive the Yojumbo that much I will tell you. I'll probably carry that knife every day. It looks great!
I’m in the same boat in California. Any fixed blade longer than 2 inches carried concealed is illegal. And while I’m happy carrying a fixed blade on my hip when I’m out in the country, I try to be a little more reserved in town.

It changes frequently for me. It was the Cruwear Delica for the longest time after that one came out. Then I recently got my first two Enduras (Orange VG-10 and Teal S30V) and now those have been in my pocket for the past month. I've been through most of the flagship Golden and Seki models in the past few years and the Endura is really hitting all of the marks for me right now. If they do a Cruwear Endura this year as a follow up to last year's Delica, I don't know what else would bump that for my daily EDC. Maybe if St Nick's does a Red FRN TiCN 4V Endura (which they are talking about!! :) )

I still have and use many other models, but they all are scattered in random places throughout the house, cars, toolboxes, etc. The Delicas and now Enduras have seen the most pocket time.

"Go-To" is a bit of a vague term, if we're talking what's carried most (EDC) -- my secondary/backup EDC that I carry pretty much every single day as of late is my SE hawkbill -- I like more and more each day I use it, I'm learning new uses for both SE blades as well as hawkbill blades at the same time and I can't understate how awesome they each are, separate and together....

Image

And as my primary EDC, most of the time I rotate between a Manix or Shaman in 4V, Rex45, K390 or CruWear... pretty much always a tool steel... mix in an occasional Police4 or Para3 and that's about it for my user knives/EDCs
