Help: washers for a Salsa

#1

Post by JustSomeFeller »

New user, first post. Hi everybody!

I recently bought a Salsa over on Reddit, and its washers were literally black and cracked. Sent it in to Golden for repair/replacement. They just called to say they don’t have any washers for a Salsa, because it’s been discontinued for so long, and can’t tell me what size washers I would need to get, because that’s “proprietary information.” ??
Is there a kind soul with a Salsa and some calipers, who wouldn’t mind measuring for me? Thanks in advance!

Hi Justsomefeller,

Welcome to our forum.

Customer service probably doesn't have any available to measure. I do have some. I'll contact Charlynn. I don't know that it would be proprietary?

You should hang out here. That is the kind of place this is.

I can only hope this helps.

Washer thickness: 0.008"
Washer O.D.: 0.500
Washer I.D.: 0.214

These numbers are approximate. I measured the pivot pin to get the I.D. so you may want to add 0.001 to that number.
