Spydeco Knife & Gun's
Not sure if we have this thread or not. If so, just please delete.
If not, I thought it might be fun to post up some pics of our favorite Spydies with our favorite guns..
I'll lead off with a Sig Sauer P229 S ( Sport ) in .357 Sig with my Spyderco Michael Janich Yojimbo 2 in 20CV
A very nice combo, if I dont say so myself :D

Re: Spydeco Knife & Gun's
The RIT dye did pretty decent. Your black / steel combo on both your watch / knife and knife / gun are very nice too!

Much better than some weird watch thread. :p

My newest toy!!! Had it for about a week and it has already eaten about 200 rounds. They call the coating pvd and it seems very similar to spyderco’s dlc. I dried fired it a couple hundred times at least and put a couple hundred trough it and there is almost zero drag line around the cylinder. I expect this finish to hold up well.
I put some of my hottest handloads through it yesterday and it felt like I was trying to catch a baseball bat. That 14oz does not absorb much recoil.

Mossberg 835 Ultramag. The turkey and goose slayer. It has been good to me over the past 15+ years. I turned 42 this year though and I am pretty sure this thing is done shooting 3.5 inch turkey loads. I’ll probably still use 3.5s for waterfowl but my shoulder is done with these crazy turkey loads.

Yup, sure is. Model 360. All the 300 series guns are scandium airweights. The barrel and cylinder are stainless I believe.

He also has a 386? It's in 357/38
Its unbelievably light.

I want a .357sig P229 so bad... I just can't justify their crazy prices.MacLaren wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 3:56 pmNot sure if we have this thread or not. If so, just please delete.

Everytime I think about it, I go shoot my <$600 CZ 75 and forget all about the 229.
It sure is good looking though! I want the SAO. But they only make it in 9mm, so it would cost even more, because I'd have to frankenstein it.

The P229 above is pretty special really.
Made in Germany, all steel, and has triple matching serial numbers. The trigger will put a regular P229 trigger to shame.
The Sport models, as this one is were the forerunner to the MasterShop X5 pistols. This pistol and the other S or Sport model Sigs were made in the Sig MasterShop before it was the Sig MasterShop, if you will please lol.
At any rate, see if you can find one like it. Worth every cent and the best value there is imo. They go for far less than the X5's, although they are every but just as good. I've owned X5's too.
Not sure how long the reasonable prices on the Sport P229 will last though. Some even came with both 357 and 40 barrels
And with a conversion slide.
Re: Spydeco Knife & Gun's
They had some 9s and 40s pretty reasonable. Are those all foreign service guns?
