3" blade

Thanks a lot, Sal! :)

Great, cause in this particular design this should mean about 3" of cutting edge either.

Most likely a rather compact folder with just enough edge (of about Endela-/Stretch 2 length).

Can't wait!
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

My only worry with this knife is that it won't be offered in SE. Then again if it's designed around cutting rope and such I don't see why it wouldn't be.

David, according to Sal there will be an SE version! :)

Awesome I missed that post. Now we just need a Salt/LC200N version :D

That's kind of a bummer, I was hoping for more like 3.5. Too soon to talk about an XL version? ;)

I also would not mind a larger version, but in that design (edge all the way to the handle) 3" of blade should mean 3" of edge... that's at least PM2-ish, and a good length for most tasks imho. And if used as a dedicated climbing knife even the perfect choice.

Sure it is kind of an "Endela-Rockjumper", let's hope it sells well enough to justify an "Endura-Rockjumper" someday... ;)

Yeah with it (probably) being an honest 3 inches of edge length it should make for a good user, I've just really adjusted to the size of my Caribbeans which are a little closer to 3.75. It won't be enough to push me away but I would definitely prefer a larger version. Who knows maybe this will be popular enough to become it's own family of knives like the Delica/Endela/Endura and come in a few different sizes.

3” is awesome for me. Perfect user length. Sorry bros. I do miss out on a few knives because they’re over 3”, though.
- best wishes, Jazz.

Is it just me, or does the handle look like a refined/evolved Delica?

Maybe this mold can be used for the next generation of Delica?

Seeing as there is already a wharncliffe Jumper and a leaf in the works, I doubt it will be used for the Delica 5. Some aspects could be carried over thought, like the "swell" in the handle. I think that could be used in a new Delica design

I am NOT a rock climber at all, but I could see many, many very practical uses for this design that don’t even involve rope cutting. The SE FFG VG-10 Wharncliffe design alone ensures that. And it is an acceptable carry size in most(?) locations.

But if I were a climber, I would personally rather have a knife on me and not need it, than to need one and not have it. The key is responsible knife use, whether you are a climber or not. Anybody who is overly gung-ho about using their knife at the drop of a hat, even when inappropriate (again, whether a climber or not) is not trustworthy. I cannot imagine that would color my opinion to not carry one myself. It’s everything to do with the person. It’s not as if the knife has the power to possess a responsible person to use it inappropriately just because it’s there.

Had to name it something. I thought about calling it "Sue", but then I remembered the song. ;)

Oh yes! I probably won't buy the Rock Jumper because it's too similar to the warncliff Delica I already have, but a hawkbill version of this would be awesome. Similar to the Superhawk, but better because there isn't a choil, and in lightweight FRN!

Does anyone know which deep carry clips fit this model? I see a few options on MXG that look like they'd fit this hole arrangement but the Rock Jumper isn't listed specifically. I'm wondering which length will land on the smooth spot.
