Hello Spyderfan !

Farmer E is a Norwegian which got a real knack in English, filming, editing and story telling.
Apprently he has fallen in love with his Para 3.

First of all i'd like to know more about the Para3, how it was sold and from whom. It's quite obviously not a new knife.
I just hope it isn't from a dealer, in the form of a customer return that never got checked over before going out again.
If it's from a person to person sale, it's more understandable, although pretty ****** if he bought it as LNIB.
Need to know more facts before letting accusations fly though :)
Apart from the above mini-rant they were nice vids!

The videos are so well made. I'm planning to see all his video collection during that confinement times. ;)

Laughing is important. And those video are fresh !

I love subjective reviews. To each their own. Spyderco is not famous in Norway where the local knife culture is very important.
All my friends there are now exposed to the Spydivirus ! ;)

I commented on the first video about 3 months ago and questioned the newness of his knife. Between the chips in the blade and the wear on the pocket clip, it's obvious that either he faked the unboxing, or somebody sent him a used knife.

His videos are okay I guess. Pretty typical Youtube fare...too many jump cuts and lots of really bad music.

Wranglerstar's Para 3 review is much more substantial IMO...

Hi Nemo,

great you posted the vids!

Believe it or not, I have seen the first one about half a year ago and was thinking of posting it here myself since then! :)

I really like how the guy immidiately gets convinced by Spydercos ergos and quality - despite the unbelievable chips in the blade (I mean, they are not small... in a NEW (?!) knife?! - don´t think so, cq would not have missed that and in the factory I can´t imagine that they even could happen in the first place)

I would like to see his reaction on a Para 3 LW... he feels, that even his G10 Para 3 is "very light" (it may be many good things, but certainly not "light" for a Spyderco in that size class... )
Or his reaction on a PM 2.. imho even better suited for his farm jobs (and probably his hand size) than the Para 3... ;)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Jump cuts ? There is a good pace in his editing and his videos are rich in various set and beautiful sequences.
I even wonder how he can do that alone ! I have been filming for 30 years for TV and I'm amazed by what this guy does.
Some drone shot are impressive and he knows out to use a tripod and frame a landscape !
There is serious craft in film making here !

The excellent thing about that kind of video review: it is not another frrrrrrrigging "table review" !!
Here, you follow him in its uses of his tools. This is precious ! This is life ! There is writing behind the review not improvisation adlib...
Not that lambda dude sitting in a bad lighted room and trying to organize his thoughts "Helloooo yotuuube...eeeerrr I got that... errrr... knife..." :D

IMHO "Table Reviewers" (the offsprings of armchairs specialists) should learn how to write first because their reviews could be much better with only text and pictures.
And they are legion who are filming their desk or table and even are coughing / burping for the review long. (That would desserve a jump cut !)
Sorry but IMHO this kind of high quality in knives review brings substantial informations and knowledge.
Because the guy is telling a story in images not bragging like a drunk cousin who has just bought a new toy.... :)

In the same kind of reviewing I really enjoy Advanced Knife Bro too. He got his own sick sense of humour and his own point of view but I like the energy he put in his video to tell us his stories:

We must be watching different videos. I didn't see him do anything other than fidget with it and cut open a couple bales of hay. His editing is unremarkable.

Great video review! I love seeing people actually use their knives in everyday situations rather than ramble for 20 minutes over a tabletop.

Thanks for sharing Nemo!
