Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

Saw a lot of crazy good deals browsing the BF Exchange last night, including separate listings for a super blue Caly 3 and 3.5 at prices I never thought would be seen again.

Thanks. I nabbed the 3.5 SB for a ridiculously reasonable price and CIB to boot. I've been looking for one at a price low enough to justify using it hard.

So excited to have one again, I've missed it.

Hate to break it to ya bud, but Superblue is terrible if looking for hard use. I used my Caly Jr at work for 2 days and it was so underwhelming, I knew I'd never carry it again for warehouse duties and ended up selling it. It was fun to patina and get crazy sharp, but it held an edge comparable to 8cr... possibly worse :o

It isn’t meant to be a “hard use” steel. It is an edge junkies steel. If you like sticky sharp edges it is great. It also likes thinner geometry. A factory edge will hold an edge as long as vg10.

No offense towards you. That's not even close to a good deal and only reinforces flippers to buy up more product.

A good deal is buying from a retailer at the current price.

That knife is well worth $150. That's only a $24 markup, then after fees...the seller is probably only making like $10 profit.

Agreed, the cases where some ppl are charging, and unfortunately some are paying 200~300% markup is a completely different issue.

Yeah, plus don't forget lots of dealers charge state sales tax, so the seller is probably making less than that

The opus and those stepped Chaparrals have been on sale forever - so little demand - $130 for 3.75" of S30V in a nice user profile is a great deal
