Hello,
https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/detail ... Mount-/835
Specs say G-clip comes with "two stainless steel Chicago screw sets", but are these screws rust-proof? I see this clip is used on many Salt knives, but is this the same clip I bought separately? I attached mine (with some pain) to Spyderco ARK sheath to carry IWB and would like it to be on par with knife in terms of corrosion resistance. Maybe it is better to use aluminium chicago screws?
Thank You.

Re: G-Clip hardware/screws rustproof?
Hey, SaltySalt:
The G-Clip hardware is marine-grade stainless steel. It has been used for years on other Salt fixed blades, like the Aqua Salt, Rock Salt, etc., and has performed very well in the field as far as corrosion resistance is concerned.
Stay safe,
Mike

It is very corrosion resistant but not quite on par with the H1 steel on your ARK. You shouldn’t see any problems though, even carrying IWB everyday. Probably not needed, but a quick freshwater rinse every now and then would be plenty to prevent any possible corrosion.
