Those that also have this model in G10 - which handle material do you prefer vs the LW?

I greatly prefer the lightweight to the g-10. I find the g-10 a bit blocky and have to contour the edges. I also despise the factory clip, it hits me in a bad spot in use. I have to buy Lynch clips which adds $25 to the price tag. The wire clip is much more comfy on the FRN version.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

I'm guessing everything is out of stock now, BladeHQ suspended my account and canceled my order :(
It seems to have dried up. The impression I have is that there were not all that many made. They appeared at various sites from time to time, but they were gone pretty much immediately. I had email notifications requested at at least 10 vendors and I think I got two notifications, and they were too late. I think to get one of them you had to luck out on timing or be sitting at the computer refreshing the screen at a dozen vendors every 15 minutes. Unfortunately I have to work, so that strategy is out of the question.

There are things I like about both. You might find the clip on the G10 a little awkward but, if you're willing to add one the after market clips, I think the G10 is a little nicer knife overall (better action etc). The LW comes with a wire clip which is a big plus for me. As mentioned, the outer edges of the handles have a little more radius than the G10 but it's never been an issue for me on the G10 version. Also the price of the LW is more reasonable than the G10. Neither model is a bad choice IMO
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

I'm not a fan of the burnt orange and satin blade/hardware. Decided to make some permanent changes.

I did the same with my G10 Manix. 52100/Rex45 swap. I love the new look! That looks great, as the frn is an even nicer shade of orange. Which steel is that blade?

Thanks. It's just the typical BD1N blade. Nothing special, but the new color scales make it stand out.

I was able to get black hardware for my satin para3 lw and it looks great with the all black knife with satin blade - so I'll be doing that to the REX45 blade with black scaled para3 lw swap too.

Love that black blade look... on such a corrosion prone blade like REX45 maybe this should be the default!

The Rexes seem to be turning up in Europe... I got a Para 3 LW from Lamnia (all gone now) but I notice French vendor coutellerie-tourangelle has them in stock. They also have the G10 and FRN Rex Natives ( which were both in stock at Lamnia, too, as of this morning. Unable to resist a Native in FRN I blew another 139 euro hole in my Paypal account...so I have two orange FRNs incoming, assuming the virus doesn't kill me first!)

So I received an email last week that opticsplanet had this knife in stock and was shipping my preorder from a year ago. It’s in the mail. I don’t know how they could have gotten more of these (I checked their website and it never showed as back in stock). Will be interesting to see what I get!

Very strange that it took a year to ship a preorder. I don’t think it could be a customer return either since I’m sure the return window closed long ago.

Well, this came in the mail yesterday. Very puzzling how optics planet got a brand new one of these a year after they sold out everywhere. I'm not complaining though!

Very confusing indeed. Congrats though, that is a nice little surprise.

Same thing happened with me and the Burnt Orange Rex45 Paramilitary-2 and an online retailer... they found an extra in their inventory that had been misplaced or unaccounted for (they didn't get shipped a new one).

Beautiful! That REX-45 Para 3 LW is one of my most-carried knives. So much cutting power in such a little package! Enjoy it.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

If I´d get a Para 3, this certainly would be the version I´d try to find!! :)
I am not a steel expert at all, but even since I don´t know too much I can tell, feel and confirm how amazing REX45 is.
And I happen to like burnt orange...
