Thanks! It's around 9 ~ 10 degrees per side. Makes for a great slicing knife!
It's in my pocket right now.

Thanks! It must be quite the slicer indeed. You may have told me before once when i admired it, so thanks for indulging me again. I've held off on the P4 and am excited for the K390 Seki run.

Nice. Had a feeling this would happen.

Just can't choose members who don't frequent the forum once a week to be a winner!

Well you were 100% right. I kind of royally screwed up. I'd like to apologize for making assumptions that were incorrect.
I would also be honored to re-judge if that's cool with everyone! I've learned a lesson from this in that I will make sure to check how active people are before deciding. That thought never crossed my mind when picking last week. I will post the winners this afternoon after I'm off work! Sorry again everyone!

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
If the judge sees a pic worthy of winning the contest, should not matter how active the user is. Just happens that it didn't pan out this time

No worries, PB. I doubt it would have occurred to me to check on that either. And anyhow those folks had great pics!Pointy britches wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 8:40 amWell you were 100% right. I kind of royally screwed up. I'd like to apologize for making assumptions that were incorrect.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Yeah it's no big deal PB. I read over this thread and it was meant more like a "this may happen". Best picture should always win, they could at least frequent this forum once a week though like was mentioned.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
^THIS!
(Specifically, for the calendar contest.)
One of the winners has just 2 posts: one to submit a calendar contest photo on the day he/she joined, and one other on the day he/she acknowledged being chosen a winner. This person hasn't been on the forum since October.
Another has just 4 posts, 3 of which are in the calendar contest thread, and hasn’t been active since November.
Yes, I admit that I’m still a bit irritated that two active members missed out on being winners.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
I actually got a warning for voicing my opinion on this matter after winners were released...granted I was probably a little rude about it, we know I sometimes struggle with biting my tongue.
We can only hope that Spyderco takes notice of this year and and year out and how their dedicated members/followers sometimes feel slighted by it.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
I love the annual calendar contest and the opportunity to participate is a gift from Spyderco...but I do agree it's a little irksome to see winners who never bother to contribute here except for the contest.Spydergirl88 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 8:38 amSeems like that should go for the annual calendar contest as well, but what do I know
