I got one from KSF just now. They were still in stock after I checked out. My heart can't take much more of this excitement from chasing sprints :(

It's probably a combination of spending three weeks in home quarantine, and being worn out hunting for this variant but being too late (until today) because of the time difference.

I know that the search for the sprint is supposed to add excitement to life, and I am grateful that I got one. It does get tiresome though, especially when one has other concerns on his mind, such as the health and safety of his family during this pandemic.

I just grabbed the last one, thanks for the heads up. I don’t know how these lasted this long. I just got home from work a little while ago so I’m really glad I logged in to check the forums.

Ahahaha! Got ya! I got the g10 version, but if I wasn't already sure that I liked the native I'd have gotten the lightweight, too. Definitely less of an investment. Hope you like it - it's small but very capable.

I generally prefer the G10 and love my Native 5s but went FRN for value. $112 two day to my door for some crazy @ss hotrod steel! :spyder:

This was my first new Spyderco in ~6 months, since i lucked out on the Crucarta Shaman. :spyder:
...

The FRN Rex Native is the absolute value champ of this sprint run! Such a little pony car hotrod-- i wanna call it the Bitchin' Camaro.

Thanks for the heads-up. I’ve managed to miss all the previous Rex models... :o

Got one of these to use in the workshop.

That figures! I was going to wait and order one from KC to add to my rewards points. Instead I saw them in stock at BHQ and ordered one from there. I figured I better get one while I can.

Yep, I did the same thing with the g10 version. I jumped on the first notice I saw, and then they actually ended up hanging around for a few hours at both DLT and KC that have the great rewards programs. Oh well.

Them Golden lockbacks!

I was stuck on the Native Cruwear when I first got it. Same with the M4. I have a feeling this will be daily for a while.

The FRN is "brighter" orange than the G10 if that's what you're referring to, it's more obvious in natural light.

While this is an important point, on my MacBook Pro this picture is really pretty accurate. The outdoor lighting helps a lot I think. I'll say that I'm very, very happy with the color. Burnt Sienna might be more accurate? Looks like you'd lose it if you dropped it in the desert in southern Utah, like near Arches National Park. More subdued than I expected, but still very rich.

I got the Para 3 in Saturday also and the color is just as nice, though I prefer the texturing & the clip on the Native 5.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.
