Seconded! I want a pink wharnie Dragonfly with an upgraded steel(LC200N? ;))

I like the handle on my Dfly, but I think the wharnie is the proper blade shape. It will really make that knife shine.

As for the steel. I can dream, can't I?

LOL!!! :D This is actually a great idea!

Was there ever any progress made with colored glow in the dark FRN? Maybe a GITD Pink could be cool! It would have a similar translucent effect as those Himalayan Salt lamps. :D

We do have a number of handle materials in-the-works for the Chaparral.

The Sun/Moon is scheduled for early summer.

sal

Can't wait to see what these will be :-)

Hi Lance,

It's not really a button lock. Different animal. We hope to make a button lock in the Sage in the future, but it's different. The Smock is a Compression lock with a button release. The button release was part of the Compression lock patent along with other methods of unlocking it.

...

sal

I think this qualifies as a casual bombshell, right?

I'm more interested in seeing what other alternative actuators for the compression lock they came up with!
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Figures 14,15,16,17. They are described in the patent as, a button release, a swivel release, a rotating release, and a sliding release, respectively. With a more detailed description of each on page 11. Pretty cool stuff. Personally, I would like to see one of the sliding alternatives.

Wow, that's cool! I see why patent lawyers exist, though - that's a dense read. I'd love to see actual 3D models of the other release options they mentioned.

Himalayan Salt GITD Pink FRN sounds awesome! Someone needs to do a line of exclusives with GITD Pink paired with Cruwear in the Seki Models. Delicas, Dragonflies, and Jesters.

A Wharncliffe Dragonfly with something newer than VG10 is a dream knife for me, I'd buy it in H1. I could get down with a more subdued pink, maybe Salmon colored FRN.
