Thanks! It's been fun. So far I'm going through all my knives that still have the factory edge so it's a more level playing field, granted a bunch of them are different model knives. Learning a bit as I go, so it's totally worth it! Hopefully can help people that may be on the fence about a certain model or steel. This one really surprised me this week/today.
Cleaned up the scales tonight with Magic Eraser, hit the blade with some Flitz and mineral oil, touched it up on the Sharpmaker on the browns, a few passes on the fine rods and a few on the strop. Good as new! About 20 minutes total for everything.
I have access to so many kinds of rope and abrasive materials, I could probably send you some stuff if you'd like to try it for your own SE challenge your doing. I've had my eye your thread as well! I have a few SE blades, but just can't dedicate myself to them other than outside work :o
