Endela.. in the background the fortress of Salzburg, my hometown :)
Great pic! Tell me about the walls/window opening I see in the frame.

Thanks!

The "walls/window openings" are actually battlements / crenellations of another (than the big fortress of Salzburg) smaller fortress, called the "Richterhoehe".. There are two towers there, built around 1250, but the walls with the battlements are "younger", built around 1600.

Here is a larger snippet of the pic, where you can see more of the battlements:

On this pic (NOT mine!) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hohensalz ... ergalm.jpg one tower of the "Richterhoehe" can be seen just a bit right of the big tower on the right sight and in the back of the Salzburg fortress.

And here is just what a quick google search offers for "Richterhoehe" https://www.google.com/search?q=richter ... ntu&hs=Rou

Cool, thanks! I thought it looks like limestone, then more like a breccia and then the right side looked sorta like a metaconglomerate. I finally realized the knife was sitting on a threshold or windowsill and the “rock formations” were of anthropomorphic origin...

Thats awesome! My IT manager would be flipping out about that. Not that you’re using a knife. He actually saves all those twisties lol. Has a whole can full in his desk. Says he can’t stand the little Velcro straps. I jokingly tell him he’s a crazy hoarder. Am going to send him this pic for a laugh.
Ha. Yea I do about 30 installs day, and each box has 8 twist ties. Id be untwisting forever if I didn't cut them :D

Vermont isn’t quite Austria but it is nice. I spend as much time outside as possible and it helps that my job requires it. All these pics with the snowmobile are while I am at work. Most of my knife pics in this thread are taken at work. I don’t get to ride all day but I do get to ride fairly often. I sort of work for a ski resort so I get to ski at work too. :) Life is tough!

However, it is below zero (Fahrenheit) today so I am trying to stay inside doing lab work if I can. :)

Love seeing the Alps! The company I used to work for was based in Southern Germany. I was fortunate to get to spend some time there. I'd love to see Austria some day.

Finished the last 3 days of the week with the Smock in S30V after retiring the Caly Jr in Super Blue after 2 days. The Smock held up well, no problems cutting any of the typical warehouse type items. I really love how the Smock disappears in your pocket, takes up no space at all. I got bored a few minutes ago at the end of the day and decided to shred some cardboard and a bit of rope that was laying around...still cleanly cutting paper and shaving no problem after the past 3 days of use. S30V EASILY wins in warehouse duties over Super Blue, as well as the Smock over the Caly Jr (which was to be expected)

I also attached a photo of how I hold the Smock when using it. For me, this feels totally natural when using this knife and is quite comfortable. I know ergos tend to be a turn off for people when it comes to the Smock and don't think anybody should neglect this model without trying it for themselves first. Fantastic knife...awaiting some sprints!!
