When you hit that apex, music to my ears! You can even feel it in your hand, that very slight resistance.

Also the great sound a well sharpened blade makes when it cuts through phonebook paper to test the edge! Makes me feel like a samurai lol

Especially when applying a fresh microbevel! You can feel the knife getting sharp.

Sound of the Sharpmaker is nice but today we were driving next a McLaren. Guy hit the throttle and the sound it made was like beautiful music :)

The sound of a Military locking open when you cup your hand just right at the back of the handle so the sound echos out from inside the handle? :D

My wife actually enjoys the sound of sharpening steel, especially when I’m resharpening her broadheads. :) My favorite sound is that of a well-tuned liner lock as the blade glides off the detent and hits the liner before locking.

I prefer the sound of a blade locking into the opening position. Music to my ears.

A little Windex on clean Sharpmaker rods although a little messy gives off a very satisfying report. :)

I also find the sound of carbon steel being ground on a wet Chosera somewhat mesmerising. I’ve actually overground a couple of Scandinavian grinds because of it.

But, nothing I’ve ever heard beats little kids laughing.

Flicking open the good 'ol Resilience... I don't know why, but there is something about the feel and sound of opening that knife that I will love forever, no matter how many way more expensive knives I own.... 2nd place to doing the same for any Shaman model.

I thought this would be about locks. Backlock or cbbl lock snap. You know that baby's locked and ready to go.

This is exactly what I wanted to post here... :D

I even said in the "Comp.lock Military 2" thread that one of the many things I prefer and would miss in the linerlock Millie IS the great "double click" when it locks open... ;)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)
