Re: Spyderwrench owners club
Sal - I know you mentioned that these were a loss for you at the as-released msrp for a number of reasons.
Would the current 'good deal' prices mentioned in the thread (~$250) match what it actually cost you to produce?
If we get a re-release, I'd hate for Spyderco to take a bath again.

Re: Spyderwrench owners club
I had been longing after a spyderwrench for a while and finally got the opportunity to get my hands on one of them. In the variant I wanted no less!
I must say this does not disappoint. The spyderwrench is a fantastic tool. It is very well designed and manufactured. However, it does seems to complement a leatherman rather than replace it.
Also, I am almost hesitant to edc it, because it will be hard to replace. However, I can't help myself.

Hi Curly,
There are many other models that we could produce for the same dollars with less gamble. I mentioned making one to Eric so it's being discussed, but I can assure you we are in no hurry to do this again.

Probably not Taichung, but Taipei, the earlier factory used in Taiwan production.

Re: Spyderwrench owners club
Oh for sure. Always get any paperwork, instructions and/or illustrations. Original boxes are always a plus. Especially when you got a rare bird like the Spyderench.
I've even kept all my paperwork on all the Spyderco sharpening equipment I've owned over the years. It may take time but even all of that stuff will prove to be highly collectible over time.

Multitools are great last ditch gadgets, but i try to always use proper tools.

I like that Larry! I'm willing to bet that the pouch is more rare than the tool, especially a like new one!
