Did the N5 LW get CQI?

#1

Post by AwayFromMySpydieHole »

All my previous N5 lightweight's had t6 body screws. Including my maxamet versions.

Just got another maxamet version from DLT last week and it has t8 screws on the body. Has anyone else seen this? Wondering if it is a CQI change, or if happened to get a knife that someone ordered, then "borrowed" some screws for another knife, then sent back.

FWIW, i dunno about CQI on the N5 LW, but my Native Salt and Cruwear (G10) both have T8 screws.

The pivot screw is T8 too, right? (I don´t have a Native anymore to check myself) - having just one size of screws on the knife would be a good thing I think.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

My native 5 salt and native 5 lightweight s110v are t8 all around.
My native 5 cruwear smooth g10 and native chief are t8 on the body, but the pivot is atleast a t9, maybe even a t10.

Thanks. This is my first N5 LW with t8 all around. My other 6 (bought as recently as christmas) have t6 for the body, t8 for the pivot.

Guess this is just my first one made since the switch, whenever that happened.

I was happy when my Salt arrived with T8 all around. I really appreciate a knife that needs only one driver.

I have the M4 from BHQ, the S90v LW from cutleryshoppe, a salt, and a s35vn version. Only the s35vn version has the T6 for me with the exception of the M4 having T8 bodies but a larger pivot

I just checked my LW s110v and it uses a T8 for the pivot and T6 for the rest.
