Hello everyone it's been awhile, hope you all have been doing well.

I caught this forum just in time to put in a preorder. I appreciated the email that Knifecenter sent out regarding
the scale' material. It did not change my opinion on the knife, and since I missed out on the Crucarta / slept through the Original Rex-45 release. I knew I would jump on this Shaman as soon as they announced it.

I forgot which video gave a sneak peek of the Shamans to come, but this one definitely caught my attention the most. Can't wait for it to come in this weekend :cool: :spyder:

With additional Rex-45 models on the way I almost passed. This one is more appealing to me than orange scaled version. I'm going to check out the "first teardown" video. Thanks SteveMidwest for bringing that to my attention.

I've been trying to temper my knife-buying lately and was able to hold off on this one.. Looks like an absolutely gorgeous piece though, and I'm pretty excited to see some pics of it in the wild! :)

Anyone knows how well the scales will hold up to heavy use?

I've got mine now! It's a nice knife overall, but I'm not sure if these scales will do it for me They honestly look better in the pics than they do in person. In person, they do have a cheap laminate look to them. The Pakkawood Delica scales I have look much more authentic than this "Rosewood" They are smoothish, but have some grip. Hopefully the scales wear on me!

From their email, it sounded like they were giving people until the 24th to cancel their pre-orders, then they would release any of those canceled orders again for sale. But I don't think they've given a specific time for that re-release.
