Bombshell Flash Batch

#1

Post by Dazen »

Who’s ready for a Bombshell?!

Other than the Watu this is the only other release I’m going for. With the 20CV blade and Ti liners this is one great looking knife. Only thing I would change, as with all Spyderco’s, is the clip. Every Spyderco should come with their spoon or wire clip, they work just too well to change anything.

Does anyone know how many of these are going to be made?

Figured I could as well quote the definition (from the knife center page) here, so you don´t necessarely have to click the link :)

"A Flash Batch is similar to a Sprint Run in that is it a truly distinctive, one-time-only event. However, whereas Sprint Runs are based on current or previously produced models, Flash Batches introduce a brand new design that will never be duplicated in the exact same form again. To make them even more unique and collectible, Flash Batches are individually serialized with a laser-engraved number on every blade."

Count me in. It’ll pair nicely with the Chubby.

I think there will be plenty to go around at MAP $280.

I set aside the money for this one as soon as I saw it . Smaller (shorter) than my normal carries, but I just love the design. There's a bug on it :D

Didn't the Lil Nilakka take a while to sell out? I grabbed one with an ebay 20% coupon last year.

Not sure how I feel about the Bombshell. It's short and stout (or chubby depending on your point of view). It looks like it will be thick in the pocket.

I think so. The Bombshell is probably a more popular design. I just think the price will be a deterrent.

I'm definitely in for at least one. Agree with SpyderNut, the Bombshell will be a nice mate to the Chubby. I really like 20CV blade steel, and the "no-nonsense" finish looks great with the OD scales. With any kind of luck this knife will spark demand for a larger version. I plan on admiring this knife as I sip my favorite beverage from the BenShot Lil’ Native Rocks Glass. :D

I am sorry but it looks like some Böker or CRKT jobbie to me. Doesn't tickle anywhere at all.

It's the one new design of this reveal that has triggered a feeling of Wanna Have in me. Too few are to be made, and the price is too high for me, too. It's worth it, given the materials used, and its scarceness. Just unaffordable and too scarce for me... Pity, it would do great in my collection.

Please, show me that Böker with a thick 20CV or similar quality stonewashed blade and titanium liners.

Boker plus impetus is like this knifes brother. Bit its 440c, and I wouldnt pay what they want for it.

The boker anso 67 was always tempting to me. There were a few versions of that knife including a titanium and g10 version with cruwear.
