Love the design but not the size. I'm hoping it's popular enough to justify other sizes.

Wouldn't be too surprised if Ed Schempp and Eric Glesser co-designed it, as with the Efficient family.

That design looks like Ed Schempp might have had something to do with it.

Nearly certain I handled and liked it at Blade Show. Certainly looks like Ed's influence, but I can't recall

And with the Polestar / Alcyone https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/detail ... -Grey/1023:
Beautifull knives, I think even a change from BD1 to BD1N would make these more popular, and they´d deserve it!
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

G-10 is fine. 8Cr takes a wicked edge. 2.5mm blade thickness, good ergos, and a cheap street price -- what's not to like?

The blade thickness ("thinness") is the best amongst several good features. Hope it sets a trend away again from the "little fatties".. ;) Can't see NO advantages in those despite maybe that it's a bit more comfortable to put a finger on a wider spine...

I am not picky but CPM-S45VN or even CPM-S35VN instead of 8Cr would make me a happy camper :p :D That's a sweet design and it deserves any better steel you want to throw in the mix I would say !

Out of all the knives in the Reveal, that's the one that's sticking with me the most.

Anyone have thoughts on the performance of Spyderco's 8Cr compared to other brands that use it?

I like the design of this one as well. It kind of reminds me of the Rookie because of the blade to handle ratio.
