Straight spine ivory stretch 2
Resilience
Emphasis
It looks great. It needs some time to break in ( the spring). It can be difficult to disengage until you get used to it (at least on the dallara 3). You really need to sit down with it and practice one handed closings until you sort of figure out the best way for this version of the bbl, as opposed to the caged bbl which is easier. Would not want to use this lock if hands were wet, very cold, or wearing gloves. It sure does look good though. And it gives me no problems for normal edc usage. It just might take some time to adapt to it.

I got the D'Allara 3 in one of the bhq bundles not long ago. Im just going to say the ceramic ball bearing lock is a different animal than the caged bbl. What Im getting at here is dont judge all ball bearing locks off of this one.zuludelta wrote: Waiting on the recently discontinued Spyderco Q-Ball. I've always wanted to try out the ball-bearing lock but I'm not particularly interested in buying the Manix 2. Don't get me wrong, I think the Manix 2 is an excellent knife but it's a smidge too big to fit my needs as a work knife. When I saw the Q-Ball selling at crazy low price at my local knife retailer's online store, I had to pull the trigger. It also reminds me a lot of the Yojimbo, which is one of my favourite non-Glesser Spyderco designs.

Yeah, I've always wondered about the design choice of going with a smooth ceramic ball bearing in the Q Ball & D'allara 3 as opposed to something more utilitarian like the caged ball bearing in the Manix 2 or P'kal. But as you said, "it looks great" & my interest in the Q Ball is more rooted in its aesthetics & novelty, and as a "proof of concept" demostrator of the ball bearing lock.

Gayle Bradley 2. I’ve been considering picking one up for over a year now, and the site I buy my blades from dropped $60 CAD from the sticker price for Black Friday. Seemed like a no brainer to me. Very much looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about!

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
REX45 PM2 waiting in the mailbox! Now to decide which one to keep, the Para 3 or PM2. No sense in having both. National Knives came through big the past couple weeks with some tough to find Sprints!
