Nice Opinel! I've been using my #8 a lot this month for food prep.
This one is a #9 and it has been good to me. I carry it quite a bit.
I'm planning to get a #10 next. The 8 is a good general purpose size but I think your 9 or a 10 would be better for food prep.

I've been on the fence with the Chinook 4. It looks like an amazing folder, but I'm worried it will fall into the same category as my Szabo (Cool knife, but the Police works better for an EDC). Maybe Santa will bring me one :p

Screw it man do it!

it’s smaller, lighter, flat ground instead of hollow... it’s different enough. But most of all... power lock!

How is the power lock? I got to handle a tatanka briefly but I didn't purchase it. I like my old Chinook 2 with its standard back lock.

Haven’t carried it and used it. But in operation it is smooth and “bank vault like” lock up. Zero up and down play or “lock rock”

It does have side to side play... if I crank it down to where it doesn’t you can’t open it one handed.

Really been loving my larger knives lately. Shaman's, Manix's, Military. But today, decided on the truly most comfortable knife in hand that I own. I swear this knife was designed for MY hand! :)

:) I know that feeling!
For me it´s the Stretch 1 when it comes to "regular" sized folders, and the Chap in the "small" category! (Well, and the Shaman, but I don´t own, just could handle one)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)
