I just used my red lightweight para 3 to cut open a bag of candy.

My Endura cut some cheese and cracked a couple of eggs for my first attempt at microwave scrambled eggs.

Perrin Bowie batoned some fatwood chunks and sparked a ferro rod to start a fire. Opinel was on food duty.

I used my Para 3 S35vn to process a Pheasant I shot yesterday. It wasn't the best knife for the job of cutting through the wing joints but It got it done! love that little blade.

Used the Pac Salt to cut up 2 damp, thick, double walled cardboard boxes that had a ton of internal packing material and reinforcement. Wife said to expect 2 more tomorrow.

I received a Wolfspyder in the post yesterday, so spent the evening roughing out a serving spoon type thing.

Chopped some seasoned hardwood at just the right angle to roll the edge of my hatchet pretty well. Didn't have my Wave with diamond file today so I used the back of my Police LW blade as a steel to correct the worst of the damage. Worked well.

I’m embarrassed to admit I don’t know. It has quite a twist to it, like hornbeam, though easier to carve than that.

Cool! :)

I like idley whittling with a Scandi but we don't have too much softwood here so I generally just end up with pointy sticks and lots of wood shavings.

Ok, that's pretty cool. Most of my carving is putting a tiny screwdriver tip on a bamboo chopstick for adjustment of computer circuits. Clearly, I need to step it up.

How did the lowly 8Cr13MoV fare with all that cardboard?

That's alot of boxes! A dream for alot of us on this forum :D

Maybe a couple months ago, I found the Resilience at my local big box store for $11. I bought the last two they had and gave one as a gift. Haven't used it yet, but the handle seems like the near perfect shape and the lack of the 50/50 choil makes so much sense on a knife that size. If it had a back lock, it may kick the Endura out of my pocket. As far as 8cr13mov, I've had lots of experience with it in the Byrd line and and haven't had any issues, apart from needing sharpening more often.

Used my Endura to break down a pizza box and before that, I used it to hypnotize Tigris:

Amazingly well. Never really felt like it was losing any of its bite. Last slice seemed as easy as the first. Still scrape shaves too. I do this twice a week. Donations for seniors where I work. Has been my daily since the first of the month. I have been stropping on green compound only, every other day. Just a few minutes each side, and it will be back to popping hairs.
