I’m waiting on a SE to come out before I buy. I just hope Sal will give us orange while he’s at it. After all, it’s only dye.

Does that complexity decrease the simplicity? Not at all.

It seems likely that there are more colors coming our way as this is an undeniably popular model and Spyderco will sell more if they make more options.

Well, I emailed CS about it. Let's see what they say.

Jeff replied, very quickly I might add. Basically, they have a ton of upcoming projects with Spyderco, so a P4 LW would behind all of those. If you want to make it happen, I would email CS and let them know of your interest.

Yes it would. It would be easy to do, as well, relatively.

Referreing solely to the handle color: I am courious HOW easy it is in fact to do FRN handles in different /various colors (I hope for a blue handled Endela too).
In my unaware understanding it should be VERY easy, but what do I know?

I don’t really know for sure but I think it is a matter of. changing the color they add to the frn and they already have the orange coloring.

The salt version is not likely with this model as it has nested liners. Orange is a possibility as are serrations. I'll watch the thread.

It'd be cool to run the lightweight in various colors like the Delica.

Serrated H1 would be a killer. I would have to get one. I would want an orange handle.
Dan, do I need to report you to the Crimson Tide Mafia for wanting a UT, Clemson, AU, and UF colored knife? :p

I handled both this and the Native Chief at Blade West. I was really surprised how much I liked it! Any handle color other than black would sell me on one pretty much instantly.

...high viz Police 4 lightweight, like in orange? I like this in an outdoor type knife.

+1. Big blade, SE, high visibility; best knife ever to use (and drop, and then find) in the woods.
