I imagine many people would feel the same if they'd handle a smaller Para 3.
I wonder if you guys would be interested in a Lil' Para3

No objection! I like big spydies, too! :) Some will say that a larger Millie makes more sense than a smaller Para 3. I say that both should get their chance.

How would the naming work? Mini para 3 or mini PM2?
Besides, how will Spyderco solve the lanyard/clip situation?

This makes sense to me. I like it. :cool:BornIn1500 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 10:48 amI agree that the Lil Native comp lock is so similar that it seems redundant for a Lil Para 3.
I'm all in for a Lil Caribbean though. We're definitely missing a mid size choil-less comp lock knife. Cutting 1/2 inch off the blade to make it a little over 3" would be perfect.
Let's get Taichung to tune stronger detent too. :spyder:
The Caribbean is cool, but that size would be great too.

I like the way you think lol.
And yeah I'd have to concur with the thoughts above that say, nah, Para3 is small enough as it is. I currently own one, and I like it a lot (it really is jewel-like) but it's on the smaller end of my preferences, so an even smaller one would not benefit me.
My collection so far: 52100 Military (2); 52100 PM2 (2); 52100 Para3; Stretch2 V-Toku; KnifeWorks M4 PM2; BentoBox M390 PM2; BentoBox S90V Military; Police4 K390; S110V PM2; SS Delica AUS-6; Wayne Goddard Sprint VG-10

For me the lil native is the lil Para.
A real lil Para would also be nice, as a Dfly compression lock or a lightweight lil native...

Would be an interesting poll..
I'd vote no. In my head, the Para 3 is already the "Lil PM2." Plus, I just can't see the Para 3 getting shrunk down much more than it is without the ergos suffering. The grip is pretty cramped for me already, without using the choil.. fortunately, I like using the choil.

I'm good with just the Lil' Native and happy with my Dragonflies. Not really sure I'd want a smaller Para 3.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Re: I wonder if you guys would be interested in a Lil' Para3
Question to those who own and appreciate the Lil' Native: back then, did you buy it because you were waiting for a smaller Native, or did you just give it a try?

Re: I wonder if you guys would be interested in a Lil' Para3
No.
I prefer thin blade stock on a knife that is smaller than the Para 3 and that is not really possible with a compression (or frame) lock because it needs some blade thickness for a ramp. For smaller knives a lock back is the best solution in my opinion. Maybe a CBBL from the Manix 2 would be nice on a small/thin knife?
