Matt, how much did those cost? I'm not going to copy you, just curious! I'm thinking they weren't cheap! Definitely one of my favorite customs I've seen on this forum.ZrowsN1s wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 7:21 pmThanks! Re: October and Rex45
Thanks :D It's becoming a popular material. Theres a handful of these skinny scales that were sold, and I've seen some Para3, Smock and Native scales like this floating around too. Only a matter of time before someone does a Shaman. I've also seen shred cf with gold and silver.
Rough estimate, Scales 120, titanium clip 20, lanyard tube 20. So about $160 on top of the cost of a Rex45 para3.

Only thing I cut open today was a banana and the box my Cruwear Shaman came in but the day's not over yet.

Re: October and Rex45
It's a week away from RexTober! I'm going to start a little early with the Rex45 carry and since we have so many more models with Rex45 I thought I'd dig this thread back up.

Re: October and Rex45 aka RexTober!
Should be a good thread this year after all those Rex45 releases!! Last year I was regretting selling my only one when this thread was created. This year, I've got 3 to scratch that itch

I've been waiting to flip the Spyderco calendar to October all year
Re: October and Rex45 aka RexTober!
Incidently I got my first REX 45 knife just some days ago and don't think it will leave my pocket through October anyway.. :)
And today the weather in the mountains got pretty october-ish already...

Thanks, Larry! :)
Yes, I am glad I got that Manix! Used it a lot already despite having it for just a few days now and love the steel so far (the model anyway, but that I did know beforehand since it is my third Manix 2 LW)!
Here are the three other mountain shots with this knife I took so far, should you care to have a look.

I did see those and they are incredible! The one with the roads in the valley make me wanna zip my car through those curves because it reminds me of a TopGear/The GrandTour shot, if you're familiar with the shows.Wartstein wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 8:47 amlegOFwhat? wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 8:27 amGernot, that view is breathtaking and happy to see you scored the LW Rex!

I had forgotten about this! I didn’t have any last year when I saw this thread but look forward to joining in soon with my para3 LW. :spyder:
