Congrats, my Austrian fellow-countryman! :)

First Spyder? I think it's a safe bet that some more will follow... ;)

I had a Native once, and especially liked the greatly executed backlock.
Thanks!

I am looking at the salt series, not sure if I will have the patience for the 2020 Pac Salt but I love the salt concept!

The backlock is very well designed, it makes a loud "click" sound, feels almost like reloading a gun :D
Funny... my first Salt ever, a yellow handled serrated Pacific Salt actually IS in the mail at the moment... could even arrive today! :D
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Order confirmed from BBS; dark blue Delica with M390 blade, **** yes. Hoping they make a K390 version to satisfy all the tool steel fans, M390 is perfect for me though.

Manix 2 LW Maxamet. Just received it a few hours ago :D, got it all oiled up and ready to be used.

I must say, there are two things that I noticed pretty quickly:
1. how light it is for its size, and
2. even after cleaning all the factory oil off the blade, how hard it catches a patina. I used it bare steel for almost 1 hour cutting all sorts of veggies, some more corrosive than others. Reminds me of 10v in that regard so far, it's definitely not 52100 or super blue.

I ordered a Q Ball. The closeout price at Knife Center, 58% off MSRP, was enough to get me off the fence on this one.

Broke down and got a Mantra 2 while some are still available.

I don't like flippers, don't like metal handles, but I've been meaning to try CPM-M4 steel, the price is good, and I like the looks of the blade shape, so...

A Yojimbo 2 trainer (red handle scales, CTS-BD1 blunt blade) should arrive on my doorstep within the next couple of days. I want to get the "full experience" in handling the Yojimbo 2 and for me, that means using it in the context for which it was originally designed and the only way I can do that safely is in drilling/sparring with a trainer version.

But in reality, there is nothing quite like a gun. And it has been said, "The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun".

Does that complexity decrease the simplicity? Not at all.

Got an email from KnifeCenter yesterday showing their smooth G10 Manix2 with Cru-Wear was back in stock for $130, so I ordered one. Love Cru-wear and been wanting to try a Manix 2. Now the wait....

A Fiskars x25 splitting axe.
Nice, should be a fun new axe!
This isn't exactly the appropriate thread for sharing though. This thread, What "Others" are in the mail? in "Off-Topic", would be more appropriate. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the axe!

Solid philosophy. I bought a Karambit trainer months before I bought the real thing. I'd be sporting numerous stitches if I had jumped straight into a live blade.

In the mail:
CQI Kapara
Karahawk #2 in case I lose mine.

Cruwear Micarta Shaman due here on Monday. Pleasantly surprised I managed to snag one... and a bit antsy to have it in-hand.

I have been carrying my s30v model nearly non-stop the past few weeks in anticipation! :spyder:

Luck and patience to those still shopping! Looks like another batch, of a different color, is already in the works. An evergreen Cruwear option would be sensible.
