What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I have holidays at the moment, so I am up in the mountains all the time, often for several days in a row... Pac Salt is in my pocket continously

Currently none. Started today with my vtoku2 Endura. It’s gone. Pretty sure a coworker took it. Have spent the better part of my afternoon and into this evening reviewing camera footage. Had it clipped at 2:09 pm, gone at 2:17 pm. Only us two in the room. It’s a giant gymnasium, and he goes off camera for about two mins, right where I thought I lost it. I think that’s when he scooped it up. I just don’t have sure fire proof. I’ve offered a $50 reward to anyone who turns it in, no questions asked. I’m so upset. Yesterday and today were the first time I’d carried it in 6months. Freshly sharpened too.

Well I put the vg10 in the g10 and it's not bad. The swap was not easy. There is a pin in the LW that sits under the backlock spring that goes between the steel liners and it is a real pain getting the screws side liner aligned with the pin and where the screws line up. And that pin is very necessary to keep proper tension on the spring to actuate the lockbar. The backlock on the LW sits nice and flush to the backspacer. Of course I swapped backlocks as well to keep them with their blades. On the g10 the backlock sits up ever so slightly, but I think I can work with it. I'd been planning this since the LW came out so I am very thankful it worked. But I'm not sure about what will happen with my g10. I'm sure I'll use it though.Vivi wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 1:34 pmThe blade swap went smoothly I take it?marty_bill_ wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 12:24 pmPolice 4 LW K390 20191022_121012-1152x1536.jpg20191022_121022-1152x1536.jpg
What are your plans for the g10/vg10 Police you have now?

Interesting info about the LW lock design. Sounds different than an Endura.

Ugh I had a Spyderco stolen, it was my first one, a Stainless Jester that I loved Such a creeping, skin crawling feeling to have something taken from you... Hope you´ll get that Endura back somehow!! (And I also hope you "just" lost it (and get it again) and not that you have a coworker who is such an unhonest guy).

Thank you guys! Guess who came clean about "FINDING" a knife yesterday in the gym! Said he didnt know it was mine, but figured it out after I offered a reward. Needless to say, I still gave him the $50. Im just happy to have this one back! Also, Resilience in my pocket today, and for the forseeable future here at work :DWartstein wrote:

@DirtMcGirt glad you got your knife back! But I'm sorry you're out $50 just because someone couldn't do the right thing. It's interesting to think about what all drives people to make decisions and behave a certain way -- life is messy and complicated, I guess.
