S30V vs ELMAX Cut Test

If your a fan of zknives.com's knife steel app, compare these two to see that Elmax kind of a slightly more ramped up version of S30V. Having these two knives allowed me to conduct this testing sharpening them with only a spyderco sharpmaker diamond rod and both are stropped with a 28 micron loaded piece of leather. check out the vid in this link

That was great, thanks, might have to get me some 28 micron paste now.

Thanks. I don’t have any direct experience with Elmax. I had the impression it would be far better than S30V. Good video.

That was my first time using 28 micron paste on leather. I may test in on wood strops once I get some wood to see if it reacts differently.

Yup. 15% better than S30V, slightly more difficult to sharpen than S30V.
